The INST Youth Union's preparation for the 4th Young Researcher Conference on Nuclear Science and Technologydsad
On the approval of Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM), the Youth Union will organise the 4th Young Researcher Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology from 6 to 7 October 2016. The objective of the Conference is to foster research and development activities conducted by young staff in the field of nuclear science and technology.
This year, the Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INST), for the first time, is hosting the Conference. On the process of preparation for the Conference, the young researchers working at INST submitted many qualified scientific reports. After the reference, 16 reports were selected for oral presentations at Section A (Nuclear Power Technology and Relevant Fields) and at Section B (Radiation Technology and Nuclear Technique Applications and Relevant Fields), in which:
- 02 representative reports, including one report on nuclear reactor physics from Section A and the other on neutron calibration laboratory formation from Section B, will be delivered at the plenary session of the Conference;
- 14 other reports on nuclear physics, nuclear energy, radiation protection, environmental radiation monitoring and nuclear technique applications will be presented at the two sections.
In order to help the sixteen presenters successfully perform at the Conference with well-prepared reports and good presentation skills, from August 2016 up to the present, the Youth Union of the INST has conducted weekly seminars in consultation with the INST leaders and researchers from the specialised units.

Thanks to the seminars, all of the presenters have received a lot of constructive comments as well as helpful suggestions on both the content and the format of the reports. This has enabled the presenters to improve the quality of their reports and make an important contribution to the result of the Conference.
