INST publications in international scientific journals from 2011 to 2015

The Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INST) performs the functions of conducting scientific research, developing nuclear technology and providing technical support for the application of atomic energy for peaceful utilization in Vietnam. During the period 2011-2015, INST has carried out over 60 research projects and obtained remarkable achievements in the fields of nuclear physics, nuclear energy, nuclear safety, radiation protection, environmental engineering, electronic engineering and chemical engineering.

       The INST staff attempted to benefit from the implementation of projects at different managerial levels. Based on their experience during the implementation process (including both advantages and challenges), they tried to enhance their research capability and improve the efficiency of research and technology development. The number of PhDs and Masters doing their courses on the basis of conducting research projects has been continuously increasing. The advanced technologies were widely used in applied investigation and experimental science development. Several applied studies had significantly practical contributions to social and economic efficiency.

       In this period, on the basis of the research findings of projects, a large number of research articles were published in national and international scientific journals and presented at national and international conferences, which was considered as one of the outstanding achievements of INST. In the past five years, there were, in total, 204 research articles on public; in which, 79 articles were made public in qualified international scientific journals (read more in the list of the INST’s articles published in international scientific journals from 2011 to 2015). Specifically, the nuclear physics field contributed 29 items (including 15 experimental works and 14 theoretical ones), the cosmic ray physics made up 38 items and the other 12 items belonged to the nuclear technique application field. It should be noted that 50 out of 79 articles were published in the journals that indexed in International Scientific Indexing (ISI).
